The lecture introduces basics to visualization and its applications in mathematics, computer graphics and MINT-subjects.
The following topics well be covered:

  • Essential data structures
  • Representation of geometries as discrete meshes
  • Theory of discrete surfaces
  • Subdivision schemes of curves and surfaces
  • Wavelets
  • Modeling
  • Visualization of vector fields
  • Visualization software and characteristic examples

Knowledge from beginner lectures in mathematics necessary.
