Getting Started

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Freie Universität Berlin!

We would like to welcome you to the summer semester 2025! Regardless of your subject and study program or whether you are new at FU or not - we have put together the most important information and links for you on this website.

The lecture period starts on October 13th, 2025, but there will be events for newly enrolled students and some things to do before the beginning of the lecture period!

Orientation Days for International Students (and students new to FU Berlin) 

Central orientation events for international students

International Campus Tour
  • When: Thursday, October 2, 2025 // 10 a.m.
  • Where: Takustr. 9, SR 005
  • What: You'll get to know the most important spots at our campus. Student tutors from various subjects will show you the campus and institutes.
