Dear Sir or Madam,

We are happy to announce that the call for applications for the 4th International Summer School on Technology Transfer in Life Sciences in Dresden is now open.

For entering the application process, please visit: www.summerschool-dresden.de

Due to the great success of the previous three International Summer Schools on Technology Transfer in Life Sciences from 2013 to 2015, as well as the overall positive feedback from the participants, the Medical Faculty of TU Dresden established this practice-oriented training programme in the field of technology transfer as an annual event. The goal of this International Summer School is that the participants develop their own commercially potential ideas and technologies in teams by gaining new technology transfer knowledge from experts in the field of technology evaluation, patents, licenses, and spin-off creation. Moreover, they are also trained in how to pitch in front of potential investors, and sensitized on important pitfalls when approaching industry. The summer school will close with the pitching of the developed projects by all participating teams in front of an expert jury.

The summer school will take place at the premises of the Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden from 5th - 9th September 2016 and will be kindly supported by external technology transfer experts again.

The online application tool is now open until June, the 30th. All applications submitted within this timeframe will be taken into consideration by the Selection Committee, which will select circa 24 participants according to their motivation and background. A positive attitude towards technology transfer is required. Ideally, he/she already identified a potential project within his/her research. Please note that PhD students and post docs will be preferred.

We will provide travel support and free accommodation of all selected participants and won't charge any participation fee!
