Regarding the shape of a waterdrop on a window glass
In apparent defiance of gravity, waterdrops sometimes stick to a window glass instead of sliding down. To describe this phenomenon and the shape that such a drop might take, we explore the concept of hysteresis and explain some mathematical results by Caffarelli and Mellet.
