Content Analysis of Conclusions of Empirical Studies in Software Engineering

A group of 8 participants of course Empirical Methods in Informatics has attempted to characterize the "Conclusion(s)" sections of empirical works in the ICSE technical research track as follows:- using Open Coding, derive a set of concepts by which to characterize and classify the contents of those sections
- using Content Analysis, quantify the observations in terms of those concepts by using them as codes
- taking part in that group
- analyzing the quality of the outcomes
- deriving an improved set of concepts
- applying them on at least some part of the articles
- present the results
- analyze the differences to the course outcomes and speculate about the reasons
