Future Workshop "A digital research space for the Berlin University Alliance" (February 24, 2022)
News from Feb 15, 2022
The research project Berlin Open Science Platform is part of Berlin University Alliance (BUA) and supports the development of a digital research platform for all BUA researchers. The intended platform brings together available digital resources created by BUA members, for example scientific papers and research data available at institutional repositories. Furthermore, the platform will offer extensive functionality for exploration and assessment of the digital resources. To ensure that needs and requirements of the future users are considered, the research project will involve stakeholders through co-creation sessions, starting with a Future Workshop end of February 2022.
The Future Workshop starts with a Critique phase, where participants will explore current solutions, brainstorm requirements and debate shortcomings in a group discussion. In this stage, user requirements will be collected. The next stage is the Fantasy phase, where we step back from existing solutions and use metaphors to envision new, innovative approaches to the research platform. The workshop takes place on two days and participants are kindly asked to take part on both dates, to ensure meaningful results.
Date: February 24, 2022 from 9:30 – 12:00 am and March 3, 2022, from 9:30 to 12:00 am.
Location: Webex
The workshop will be led by HCC member Veronika Weiß and will be in german.
