Veronika Weiß was a research associate in the project "BOP - Berlin Open Science Platform" from 2021 - 2022. She joined Hochschule RheinMain as Professor for Medien Design / Konzeption interaktiver Medien in October 2022".

Her research and work incorporates the exploration, conception and prototyping of possible platform solutions, including participatory design and cocreation workshops. Veronika is an interaction designer and illustrator with several years of experience in interface design, visualization and user experience.

From 2019 to 2021 she worked as research assistant in the BMBF-funded project "DiMediCa – Digital Medical Care" at Hochschule Magdeburg, focussed on digital competence. Veronika holds a Diploma in Communication Design from Hochschule Wiesbaden and a Master of Arts in Interaction Design from Hochschule Magdeburg. Here, her master thesis, subsequently published in the journal paper „Positive Design for Children with Atopic Dermatitis – Enhanced Problem-Solving and Possibility-Driven Approach in the Context of Chronic Disease“, was awarded „Best Thesis“ in 2019.

At Hochschule Magdeburg, she has taught several courses in Industrial Design, Interaction Design and Human-Computer-Interaction. Since 2020, she is teaching the „Kompaktwoche Kreativitätstechniken“ at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle. Currently, she is completing her PhD at the Department of Simulation and Graphics at the Otto-von-Guericke-University, Magdeburg.
