The "Research to Market Challenge 2015" called for research-based business ideas from the Free University of Berlin and the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Students, graduates, doctoral students, and academic staff of the two institutions were invited to submit business ideas in the form of an idea sketch for the healthcare industry as well as information and communication technology, media, and creative industries.
The idea sketches were examined by an expert jury for their innovation and market potential. During two rounds of the competition, Norman Dziengel, Martin Seiffert and Marco Ziegert qualified with their "PostureGuide" idea, an intelligent shirt that can warn people, particularly caregivers, of unhealthy postures. At the award ceremony for the competition ICT, media, and creative industries, the team was awarded second place and the SAP special award for ICT for its research-based product and business idea.
More information about the winners can be found here.
The award ceremony for the health economy will be held as part of the Charité Entrepreneurship Summit on May 28, 2015.
