The Learning Center is a voluntary, supplementary learning program that complements the basic courses offered in the first year of study. It is aimed at Bachelor students studying mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics, and physics, as well as those enrolled in teacher training programs.

In the learning center, you work as independently as possible in small groups on the current exercise sheets or review the material from the lectures. The aim is to move away from a passive “listening attitude” and instead develop sustainable learning strategies. This means that you learn how to actively and purposefully engage with the university material. To this end, you can get individual help from the LZ tutors. The learning strategies you acquire there will be very useful in the further course of your studies and may even determine your success or failure.

We strive to create a pleasant atmosphere in which you can engage with the subject matter without feeling pressured to perform—every question is valid and every question deserves an answer.
