The decentralized Women's and Equal Opportunities Officer works to promote equal opportunities for women at the faculty and to prevent discrimination against female members of the university and applicants. She monitors the implementation of the women's advancement plan. The Women's Representative also supports employees and students with family commitments in the event of conflicts and in arranging alternative benefits.

The office of Women's Representative is an elective office, which is held part-time by a woman from the Department of Mathematics/Computer Science for a period of two years. The Women's Representative acts in an advisory capacity in all committees of the department.
