Prof. Dr. Daniel Fürstenau is university professor of Information Science at Freie Universität Berlin, and a researcher at the Institute of Medical Informatics at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. At the institute, he leads the research group »Data Ecosystems and Care Analytics«. He is also a board member and professor at the Einstein Center Digital Future. Daniel Fürstenau holds a degree in business administration. He earned his doctorate in 2014 at the DFG Research Training Group on »Paths of Organizational Processes« at the School of Business and Economics at Freie Universität Berlin. He subsequently held positions, including Assistant Professor at Copenhagen Business School, and completed various research stays, such as a visiting professorship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and a postdoctoral researcher position at the University of California, San Diego.
