The demonstrator of the Student eCard developed within the StudIES+ project provides a digital student identity card for the smartphone, which is intended to make the life of students even more mobile and the services offered them on and outside campus more secure. It is created on the basis of the identity attributes from nationally issued ID cards and conventional student ID card. Student eCard aims to complement the regular known chip-based student identity card through the secure digital bundling of these components on the smartphone. In addition to numerous previously known offline services (e.g. campus library, etc.), the Student eCard can also be used for online services (e.g. viewing exam results, etc.) – the students can use the mobile Student eCard in order to identify or authenticate themselves at any time, alone with  their smartphone.
