Simons Lecture – Public lecture on mathematics and climate: Video podcast

A high point of the International Year of “Mathematics of Planet Earth”

About 600 people came to the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität Berlin (Free University) in Berlin, Germany, on the afternoon of May 23, 2013. Their aim was the prestigious “Simons Lectures”, a high point of the International Year of “Mathematics of Planet Earth”. Nine of them are given during this year, the one in Europe was given by Rupert Klein, professor for mathematics at Freie Universität Berlin. He gave his lecture on “CliMathematics: Models, Data and Structures”, on the role of mathematics in climate forecasts.
