The activities of the HCC Data Lab cover these core formats:

Method Reflection & Toolboxes

We establish exchange formats that enable method reflection and document our methodological approach in a set of Toolboxes. These Toolboxes enable knowledge exchange between ongoing interdisciplinary research projects and teaching formats and lay the foundation for the establishment of future projects in close collaboration with researchers from other disciplines.

Workshops

Workshops are an integral part of our research process and knowledge transfer activities. Our Workshops serve a range of purposes and are commonly conceived in such a way that allows us to adapt them to different settings. Depending on the purpose of the Workshop and its setting, we enable participation for cooperating researchers and other expert stakeholders as well as stakeholders from the general public, i.e. future users of a software.

Events & Public Talks

The HCC is conceived as an open space for exchange and collaboration and provides events that are open to the general public, such as the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften (Long Night of the Sciences). We also initiate events such as presentations of students' results at the end of the semester and organize and host public talks for which we invite interesting researchers from a range of disciplines. The Events and Talks will be documented on this website.

Schaufenster

We offer short and easily understandable insights into our current work. Just as the title »Schaufenster« (window front/showcase), implies, we do not aim at a representative or complete documentation of current research and teaching activities. Instead, we select highlights and examples that convey core aspects of our interests. The Schaufenster includes insights into ongoing research projects as well as outstanding student work.
