German intensive language courses for doctoral candidates

News vom 17.07.2018

Dear Doctoral Candidates,

The DRS has been offering workshops and other formats and events free of charge for you during the last three years. This is possible through the FUBright project –promoted by the German Academic Exchange Service and financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. As all projects come to an end at some point, this is unfortunately also true for FUBright: The project ends on 30 June 2019. Please note that this means that DRS will be able to offer the intensive German language courses in spring next year again but not in fall! So this is the last chance for you if you want to start learning German free of charge in September – October 2018, register now:

German Language Course for Doctoral Candidates/Beginner Level

September 3 – October 12, 2018, 9:00 a.m.

You can access online registration here

German Language Course for Doctoral Candidates/Beginner Level with little Knowledge of German

September 3 – October 12, 2018, 9:00 a.m.

You can access online registration here

Our intensive courses are especially developed for doctoral candidates whose research work is mainly in English and who have no prior or only little knowledge of the German language. Training of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills will increase the command of spoken and written German. There are two courses offered: One for doctoral candidates with no prior knowledge of German and one for doctoral candidates with little knowledge of German. In that way, you will be able to learn in an optimal environment with peers with similar language knowledge.

All FUBright courses are free of charge for international doctoral candidates of Freie Universität Berlin!
