Abstract
Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs) and remote controllers allow users to easily draw curves in 3D, providing an intuitive paradigm for designing objects in immersive environments. Indeed, 3D sketches already give users a strong perception of the intended shape. However, sketches drawn in immersive environments are often disconnected, disordered, sparse, and noisy. Consequently, computing a smooth surface from such a set of strokes remains a significant scientific challenge. In this talk, we will present four solutions to this problem that we have proposed in a series of recent papers.
