The Dahlem Center for Responsible AI is a center for collaboration between students, teachers, professors and anyone interested in learning about the field of responsible AI. The center serves as a discussion forum for various topics related to AI development and its social, ethical, and legal implications.
The mission of the Dahlem Center for Responsible AI is to foster scholarly exchange and establish sustainable study programs for responsible AI, available to everyone.
This is achieved by strengthening the teaching of AI-related topics in computer science education at the Free University of Berlin. The focus is on fostering "critical reflection" among future professionals, scientists, and non-technical experts regarding existing approaches and limitations as well as potentials in AI.
Education should be for everyone, therefore, we share our materials as OER (Open Education Resource). Therefore, we provide resources such as learning units on trustworthy AI ranging from topics from human oversight to transparency, and resources for exercises and didactical aids.
As responsible and trustworthy AI becomes increasingly important in an era of rising AI, our goal is to foster communication. Therefore, please feel free to contact us, explore our materials or participate in our workshops and courses!
We offer a variety of courses and workshops. Some are held annually, while others are provided irregularly or as one-off events.
