General info

This is a dedicated class for graduate students affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence "Languages of Emotion". An introductory meeting will take place on 15 October at 5 pm (KL 202).

Contents

To paraphrase Stephen Pinker, simply by putting words on paper and having someone read them, we can reliably cause precise new combinations of ideas to arise in each other's minds. That would be a nifty trick, to be sure, but how is it done? Which words do you choose, how do you arrange them, and what ideas would you like to arise in your readers' minds? Also: How to master some of the tools that help keep your writing task on track and make the process more enjoyable.
