News vom 19.03.2015

The AUGLETICS Team is developing high-tech rowing machines, which provide a realistic feeling of rowing offside the water. The modern online network infrastructure allows the connection of different indoor rowing machines, up to a number of eight at the same time in one session. Without any duties of being located next to each other.
The integrated control unit of the indoor rower is able to analyze the motion of a stroke and creates a qualified feedback. This feedback will help the sportsmen to reach higher skill levels of rowing. That is how everyone can reach individual goals like healthiness, strength and fun to  his own behalf. Rowing practice is a workout for about 80% of the muscles of a human being. These indoor rowers are made for professional rowing clubs, as well as for fitness studios and other sport clubs.

Friendly supporting partner of the project are Prof. Dr. Jochen Schiller and Martin Seiffert from the Computer Systems & Telematics Group at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany.

The award winning team consists of Benjamin Bach, Flavio Holstein and Philipp Kuck and is supported by the scholarship program “EXIST” from the German Ministry of Economies.
