The Institute of Computer Science at FU Berlin offers students the choice of a Computer Science minor to complement their studies. Computer Science as a key discipline is easily combined with any other field of study.
Usually, lectures are given in German, English is the exception. The course language is specified in the course catalog in the course descriptions under the term "Unterrichtssprache/Course language".
The extend of the minor studies and the offered courses and modules are written down in each program's study and examination regulations.
If the minor covers exactly 30 credit points and Computer Science is the minor of choice, please refer to the model curriculum and study and examination regulations for Computer Science minors (last chapter).
If the minor covers less than 30 credit points, please get study counselling advise before choosing modules and courses.
If no other agreement has been made: the minor in Computer Science covers 30 weekly hours per semester (=SWS).
12 SWS, two examinations
The graded examinations for Computer Science A and B are aquired during studies. The better grade will be part of the minor's preliminary diploma examination.
18 SWS, three examinations
The examinations listed under point 2. are aquired during studies. The better grade will be part of the minor's diploma examination.
