We are currently recruiting for two positions in the Ensembl Genebuild team at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, to fulfill the following role:
We are seeking two highly motivated bioinformatics developers to produce and develop methods for the production of automatic gene annotation.
The successful candidates will be expected to run the Ensembl genome annotation system and extend and develop it to cover newly sequenced genomes, to handle new data types and improve the quality of the annotation, with the goal of helping to keep Ensembl at the forefront of automatic genome annotation production. All members of the team take part in the production of each new annotation release, with each being responsible for taking particular genomes from the raw unannotated assembly to a fully annotated genome ready for display in Ensembl.
The positions is listed on the Sanger Institute website at:
Full details for the positions are on the above web page, but if you have any additional questions please feel free to contact me.
Applications for the position will be accepted until 29 August. Instructions on how to apply are available at the above web page.
